Like I said!

For you not even knowing this program, and picking up this much as quick as you did, this is phenomenal. Keep at it, and you'll learn this program inside out. Make sure not to take any negative reviews personally. I've had a guy literally review one of my songs "sorry, this was really bad, you should have named it 'if I had a penis'" and vote me a 2.

Timi responds:

Thanks for the review Merlin. Yeah, I know about how some people are just outright assholes, but whatever. You keep up your good work also man

Pretty good, indeed.

Seems like it distorts a little too much, and I think there was a tiny bit of clipping at parts. I can really picture this in a movie, it makes me think of boondock saints for some reason. Like if people are doing a drug deal or something, and it keeps jumping frames, speeding up and slowing down. The song does jump around a bit, but I really like it for some reason. Keep it up!

Timi responds:

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out how to do everything, and I haven't really established a style of how I compose. I guess I'll figure that out once I get some experience and familiarity with whatever program I choose to use.

Thanks for the review

why dont you

create something you've written yourself.

hey now

that's the EXACT intro to the NES game Battle of Olympus....

BlackViolet responds:

Where's the relevance in that?

Wonderful

I really really enjoyed this song. I think perhaps for most people it starts out in a unique key they're not used to, and probably skip over it at that. Whereas I like how different it is from everything else on here! But when the song starts picking up, oh man. It's a really good melody, and it flows nicely. You make me blush that I insipired you! Hopefully this review will help all the brainless McGerkin's out there who skip over this song on the intro.

JUST CAUSE IT'S NEW WAVE, AND DIFFERENT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S NOT GOOD PEOPLE!

Auth responds:

*bows to the master*

Thanks!

Oh man

I would be lying if I didn't say I was jealous at your piano composing skill. You really have the technique down for making this sound like a professional song. It seems very nostalgic for me of a game I used to play called Nexus (makers of maple story, but like 10 years ago) The only thing I can say negative is the quality (not your fault, so my votes wont reflect that) and that I wish it was longer! Definitely keep me informed next time your busy little fingers are composing. 5/10 +fav

Rwinius responds:

dude, thanks! youre really cranking up my ego here haha. Im glad you can relate to this song, it makes it worth while..

About the pianos, as you can see in the review below me, im working on it.
who knows, next time you could be pleasantly surprised..

thanks again, and youll be the first to know once i upload another score.

I like this one so much

I love how haunting it is. It makes me think of so many different tense moments all at once. that's my favorite thing about music, is how it can evoke emotions, and give you visuals from a completely different sense altogether. You, my friend, are a master of your craft. The constant stressful buildup to the epic ending give's me shivers.

Wow.

It'd be redundant of me, and all of newgrounds to say you're an amazing artist, so I wont... Have you ever heard of the game "Ragnarok Online"? This song totally reminds me of the music from that game... only better. And the music was absolutely my favorite part of that game. I love how the song loops so flawlessly too. And I love the very subtle fade out effect you have at the end of the song. I'm positive I've used that exact effect in reason too. Amazing song. +favs

sorohanro responds:

I'm not really the "online gamer" type, but out of a review (comparing my music with music of "Gish") I found a quite nice game :)

Be sure you'll check the samples, added several more for free download ;)
Thanx for review and "Happy Music Making" ;)

Put together very well.

I absolutely love the Latin feel it's got going on. It's composed together so flawlessly, and you don't have to think about the music at all, just sit back and enjoy it. You use so many notes, without being overbearing, and sounding like jazz improvisation gibberish. This is my favorite jazz song on newgrounds. You're an amazing musician, and its so inspiring how into the ng community you are, I totally hope if I were ever as popular, that I would have the ability to stay so humble.

sorohanro responds:

Thank you very much for your very nice words.
I'm glad that you like this track. On a different mix this appears also on my album :)
And if you think that all the instruments here are recorded with dynamic microphones...

Very good, man

I love the mischievous feel it's got to it. new wave is my favorite, and it's such a broad category, almost all the leftovers of synth style get put here, making it such an expansive genre. Very easy to listen to, and have a smile on your face. It makes me want to re-arrange my furniture with a meddlesome look on my face. Keep it up!

NuclearStrike responds:

Very Nice. Glad you liked it. Hope your furniture's a little gothic! ^_^ Love, Peace, and Big Beat.
